Fleet Systems Engineer


Subsidium has been engaged by a major government agency to identify an individual to act in the capacity of a Fleet Systems Engineer. This opportunity is for an individual who possesses a multi-faceted skill set to work on a large enterprise scale network.

The ideal individual will possess a combination of the following skills, experience, and certifications:

• Shipboard satellite communications; including: UHF, SHF, and EHF as well as Shipboard LAN networks.

• Active Directory experience is a MUST. Candidates must be well-versed in this arena and have demonstrated knowledge and skills in this area.

• Knowledge of Whiskey 3, 5, 8 highly desirable.

• MCSE-Windows 2003 (or relevant skills and knowledge)

• Demonstrated abilities working with the administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and resolution of network problems on an enterprise scale with MS Windows Active Directory Services, MS Windows NT/2000/2003 Servers, MS Exchange 5.5 & 2003 Windows scripting.

• The individual must be able to demonstrate proficiency with hardware platforms such as Dell Servers (1650/2400/2650/4600/4650) and workstations such as Dimensions & Optiplex or equivalent technology.

• Basic Network Engineer experience as well as management experience required. Experience will include, but not be limited to: engineering, developing, planning, coordinating, and deploying enterprise scale network architecture; in-depth experience with Cisco routers and switches, VPN servers and access lists; cryptographic and crypto devices and circuits; pair gain modems; thorough knowledge of point-to-point communication circuits, packet switching, and NIPR/SIPR technology; must have experience with engineering technical solutions to meet network requirement supporting a wide geographically dispersed locations.

• Information Assurance experience is a plus, including, but not limited to: routers, firewalls, and IDS. Specific technology would include: Symantec Enterprise Firewalls, Manhunt IDS, and Cisco IDS.

• Minimum Secret security clearance will be required.

Electrical Foreman


Performs supervisory responsibilities for directing all aspects of the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical power lines, electrical systems, fixtures, apparatus, and appliances.

The electrical foreman is responsible for planning, scheduling, assigning electrical personnel, and directing/inspecting the work of electricians. • Conducts periodic inspections and gives on-site supervision over hazardous or unusual work assignments; assures availability of equipment, materials, and supplies. Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 is preferred.
• Estimates the time and material costs required for projected jobs; keeps cost and job records and submits reports; initiates requisitions for supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Confers with the electrical supervisor, senior electrical supervisor and/or the utilities manager and makes recommendations on proposed projects. Supports Prime Power and Power Gen shop supervisors in any related electrical work.
• Supervises the operation of the electric shop; this includes the assigning of tools and materials to electricians for projects, the collection of tools upon the completion of projects and at shift change. Assists the Electric Supervisor in the inventory control of tools assigned to the shop as well as tools borrowed from others (i.e., site Tool Room).
• Enforces safety regulations, rules, and working conditions.
• Trains personnel in basic troubleshooting techniques, including familiarity with NEC and NFPA-70E publications.

Modeling and Simulation: Contractors will be responsible for developing non state actor databases to be used in forecasting 3-5 years into the future. Using general military intelligence along with soft-powered aspects of irregular warfare, contract analysts will develop an irregular warfare/social science methodology and data set.

Contractors will be required to have experience in GMI, conventional warfare as well as an understanding of the irregular warfare problem set. Contractor personnel shall develop a robust Irregular Warfare Database for intelligence and social science data associated with the Non-State Actor Organizations-Groups (NSAO-G) that will be used to inform both Generating Force and Operating Force decision needs.

Serves as a link, in coordination with the MAT transportation coordinator, between the MAT and government transportation personnel. Must be knowledgeable of maintenance, supply, and transportation logistics management systems with emphasis on transportation and maintenance. Will perform other duties as assigned by the project lead in support of the mission.
Logistics Coordinator
Will handle the day to day operational supply control of the logistics management information system for the for the Expeditionary Cellular Communications Service (ECS) project. Duties will include but are not limited to: receiving components/repair parts arriving at Kandahar Air Field (KAF), Afghanistan; processing components/repair parts; monitoring status of components/repair parts; ensuring proper cataloging and distribution of all components/repair parts; processing turn-ins of reparable components for evacuation and work ordering of components for repair; tracking repair parts status; notifying management of repair parts problems; generating production reports, as required. Furthermore, the Logistics Coordinator will perform cost management and other requirements, as required by the Project Lead/Expeditor. The Logistics Coordinator performs basic warehousing, storage and distribution of materiel on an as needed basis.
Project Leader
Serves as the MAT site lead in Afghanistan for the Expeditionary Cellular Communications Service (ECS) project. The work in this phase will be primarily analytical in nature and cover all facets of ILS; however, it is desired that the prospective candidate have ILS proficiencies in the following areas:
Logistics planning and budgeting; Technical data management; Supply support; Training support.
The successful candidate will have experience in developing Life Cycle Support Plans (LCSPs), Logistics Requirements Funding Summaries (LRFSs), Training Planning Process Methodologies (TRPPMs), Navy Training System Plans (NTSPs) and other acquisition documentation. Must know the height, width, length and weight of the vehicle in order to judge overhead and side clearances, turning radius, braking distance and the safest distance to be maintained from a preceding vehicles. Must know deport and state regulations governing operation of vehicles transporting passengers or other cargo. Must have a general knowledge of geographic locations of depot roads and buildings, locations and routes to surrounding area train stations, airports and hotels. Must pass Civil Service road test with qualifying score prior to appointment. Must possess knowledge of proper loading and securing loads on vehicles. Responsibility: Instructions and assignments are received from the dispatcher with follow up supervision received from Foreman (leading man) via on the job inspections. Receives safety instructions and is currently informed of new and changing regulations via group meetings, safety questionnaires, station notices and instructions and drivers handbooks. Working Conditions: Operator will be required to work outside and is occasionally exposed to bad weather conditions while loading and unloading vehicles. Drives in all types of traffic and weather and is exposed to the possibility of serious accidents. The operator is subject to cuts, bruises, and broken bones as a result of accidents while driving or when loading and unloading vehicles. Incumbent must pass a physical for explosives certification, obtain a secret clearance and a commercial, class B drivers license. Incumbent may be required to work various assigned shifts, will assist in snow removal operations and is subject to call in at any hour for required work or emergencies.

Upon completion of training, this position will be located in the Division
of Wildlife, Field Operations, which serves to preserve, protect, enhance,

DUTIES:
For the first year of this assignment, position functions at a training
level for entry into the Wildlife Manager series, working title - District
Wildlife Manager (DWM). During the first year as a DWM, this position will
be participating in a Peace Officer Standards & Training (POST) training
course and in classroom and field activities which provide knowledge and
'real-world' experience in the tasks necessary to be successful as a
District Wildlife Manager. During this initial training period, positions
are assigned to the Division of Wildlife, Support Services Section and are
supervised by the DWM Training Manager. The DWM positions/incumbents will be
trained in the Division of Wildlife's operation, application of the State's
laws, rules, regulations, and techniques of wildlife resources management.
Position operates under the guidance of a supervisor or work leader, as part
of the training, this position exists to learn and fulfill the purpose of
the work unit. Ultimately, position is expected to operate as a
fully-functioning DWM and be a representative of the Division of Wildlife in
an assigned geographical area.
